Mark Withers, a familiar face on television screens and known for his role as Ted Dinard in the first season of the 1981 series "Dynasty", has passed away at the age of 77. He succumbed to pancreatic cancer on November 22nd.
His daughter, Jessie Withers, shared a heartfelt statement regarding her father's passing. Withers' career spanned a diverse range of television programs, including appearances in "Stranger Things," "The Dukes of Hazzard," "Dallas," "True Blood," "Criminal Minds," "Matlock," and "L.A. Law." His film work included roles in "Basic Training," "Bolden," and "The Ultimate Life," among others.
Beyond his acting pursuits, Withers had a background as a successful athlete, having received an NCAA football scholarship to Penn State University. Prior to his television and film career, he also featured in national advertising campaigns for prominent brands such as McDonald's, Folger's Coffee, Irish Spring, and American Airlines.

Withers is survived by his wife, Haiyan Liu Withers, and his daughter, Jessie. The family has requested that donations in his memory be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
