Making his first appearance at the NFL Honors after a season away from the league, legendary coach Bill Belichick made a statement with all eight of his Super Bowl rings. His girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, also sported impressive hardware, showcasing her own championship ring.
Initially, onlookers assumed Hudson was wearing one of Belichick's numerous Super Bowl rings – six earned as head coach of the New England Patriots and two from his time as defensive coordinator for the New York Giants. However, Hudson clarified that her ring commemorated a national championship victory with the Bridgewater State University cheerleading team. Her Instagram bio confirms her participation in the 2021 championship team, adding to the program's impressive string of titles in 2011, 2014, 2019, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Hudson's choice of attire was also deliberate. She explained, "My fashion choices sometimes have hidden meanings. This dress, for example, is a nod to the Lombardi Trophy."
The couple's appearance at the NFL Honors in New Orleans follows Belichick's recent acceptance of the head coaching position at the University of North Carolina. The 72-year-old coach and the 24-year-old former cheerleader first connected three years ago during a flight to Boston, with their relationship becoming public last year. Hudson was notably present at Tom Brady's Patriots Hall of Fame induction ceremony in June, shortly before news of their relationship emerged.
The significant age difference between Belichick and Hudson became the subject of a lighthearted joke by Snoop Dogg during the NFL Honors ceremony. "I'm a lifelong football fan," Snoop quipped, "and Bill Belichick's girlfriend wasn't even born yet!"
