Bengals Survive Wild Overtime Thriller Against Broncos, Keeping Playoff Hopes Alive

In a thrilling Saturday night showdown, the Cincinnati Bengals edged out the Denver Broncos 30-24 in overtime, keeping their playoff aspirations alive. The game was a rollercoaster of momentum swings, particularly in a dramatic fourth quarter.

The Bengals appeared to have sealed the victory with a late touchdown, but a quick response from the Broncos, capped by a contested Marvin Mims touchdown catch, forced overtime. Both teams traded punts before Bengals kicker Cade York missed a 33-yard field goal attempt, hitting the upright.

However, the Bengals defense held firm, forcing another Broncos punt. Joe Burrow then connected with Tee Higgins on a crucial 31-yard pass, setting up Higgins' third touchdown of the night and securing the Bengals' victory.

With this win, the Bengals avoid elimination and maintain a slim chance of making the playoffs. They need a victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18 combined with a Denver Broncos loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Broncos, on the other hand, control their own playoff destiny and can secure a spot with a win in their final game.
