Florida Man Accused of Luring Children with Ferrets, Facing Molestation Charges

Clearwater, Florida resident Robert Alan Rouse, 36, is facing serious charges involving the alleged molestation of children under 12. According to court documents filed by Clearwater police in Pinellas County, Rouse is charged with two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation.

Investigators say a young girl reported that Rouse invited her into his residence under the guise of letting her interact with his pet ferrets. Once inside, Rouse allegedly grabbed the child, lifted her, and placed her on his bed, as detailed in an arrest affidavit obtained by FOX 13 Tampa Bay.

During questioning, Rouse reportedly confessed to inappropriately touching another child the day before while she was petting his ferret in his driveway, according to FOX 13's report.

Further investigation revealed disturbing online communications between Rouse and an undercover federal agent. In these exchanges, Rouse allegedly outlined a plan to entice children into his home and engage in conversations about sexual activity.

Rouse is currently being held on a $300,000 bond. Fox News Digital reached out to the Clearwater Police Department for comment, but they have not yet responded.
