Gigi Hadid's Cayman Islands Marijuana Arrest: A Smooth Landing After a Brief Turbulence

Supermodel Gigi Hadid experienced a brief legal hiccup during her recent Cayman Islands getaway. Upon arrival on July 10th, customs officials discovered a small quantity of marijuana and related paraphernalia in her possession, leading to her arrest. Hadid's representative clarified that the marijuana was legally obtained in New York City with a medical license, and medical marijuana use has been legal in Grand Cayman since 2017.

Following her arrest, Hadid was taken to the Prisoner Detention Center and subsequently released on bail. She appeared in court, pleaded guilty, and received a $1,000 fine. Her representative confirmed that her record remains clear.

Hadid appears to have taken the incident in stride, sharing photos and videos from her island vacation shortly after the news broke, captioning one post, "All's well that ends well." Subsequent Instagram posts showcased her enjoying the remainder of her trip, seemingly unfazed by the earlier events.
