In a shocking incident at the Sandhill Crane Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, a 65-year-old golfer, Brian Hiltebeitel, tragically lost his life after being assaulted with his own golf clubs. Police are investigating the incident as a seemingly random act of violence.
36-year-old Junior Boucher has been charged with first-degree murder in connection with Hiltebeitel's death. According to Palm Beach Gardens Police Chief Dominick Pape, Boucher's presence at the golf course seemed without purpose, leading investigators to believe the attack was random and unprovoked.
Witnesses reported hearing Hiltebeitel cry out for help before observing Boucher striking him with a golf club. Hiltebeitel attempted to escape, but Boucher pursued him with another club, eventually catching up to him in a pond. The attack continued in the water, with Boucher reportedly choking and beating Hiltebeitel.

Following the assault, Boucher shed his clothing and fled into a nearby wooded area. Law enforcement apprehended him using a stun gun. Boucher is currently being held without bond and has a history of arrests for domestic battery, assaulting a police officer, and drug possession.

Medical personnel were unable to revive Hiltebeitel, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Associated Press reported that Boucher's family had reported him missing an hour prior to the attack and had filed an eviction notice against him earlier that same day.

Hiltebeitel's girlfriend, Dina Lauro, shared her grief, describing him as a kind and joyful individual.
