Despite the New York Jets' efforts to avoid the spotlight, HBO's "Hard Knocks" cameras will still be rolling this season. However, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the team plans to significantly limit what makes it onto the screen.

Schefter revealed on ESPN's "Get Up" that the Jets met with NFL Films to express their clear disapproval of being featured on the show. Their request was ultimately denied, leading to what Schefter predicts will be a very different "Hard Knocks" experience. He stated that the team intends to restrict access in ways not seen in previous seasons, specifically mentioning their unwillingness to showcase player releases, which they consider inhumane.

This controlled approach echoes quarterback Aaron Rodgers' recent comments, in which he described the show's presence as something "forced down our throats." The Jets' reluctance is no secret, but the extent to which they'll limit access remains to be seen. Schefter indicated the level of cooperation will be far less than what the Detroit Lions offered last year or other teams have provided in the past.

The NFL Network reported the Jets were among four eligible teams who didn't volunteer for the show, alongside the Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints, and Washington Commanders. Regardless of the Jets' feelings, "Hard Knocks" is set to premiere on August 8th.
