Singer-songwriter Lainey Wilson shared her experience on the hit show "Yellowstone," expressing excitement and curiosity about the series finale. She confessed to People magazine, "I'm like, ‘Taylor Sheridan, you got to let me know what's going on, bro.’ I'm excited to see what happens. There’s no doubt the rest of season five is gonna be money."

Wilson, who played musician Abby on the show for four episodes, acknowledged the show's significant impact on Western culture and the music industry. She noted how "Yellowstone" has brought a new level of recognition to her style of music, stating that what she does "was not cool three or four years ago."

Recalling her casting, Wilson recounted Sheridan's call: "'Lainey, I got this idea. I want you to play a musician, but I want you to pretty much be yourself and wear your bell-bottoms… sing your own music.’ It was a huge opportunity for me to share my music with the world." Despite initial reservations about acting, Wilson was encouraged by the welcoming cast, particularly Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton), who praised her natural acting abilities.

Wilson shared a poignant story about her father's health struggles while filming. Her father suffered a stroke requiring multiple surgeries and the removal of his left eye. When faced with the dilemma of staying with him or returning to set, her father insisted she go back and finish the job. Wilson credits her father's unwavering support and encouragement for her success. She emotionally described how her father, now recovered, used to pretend he was Glen Campbell, playing music for passing cars. She feels grateful he's alive to witness her achievements.

While the final season of "Yellowstone" is set to air in November, followed by a sequel series in December, the exact filming schedule for the remaining episodes remains undisclosed.
