Pelosi's spokesperson, Ian Krager, released a statement confirming the incident and assuring the public that she is receiving excellent medical care. While expressing regret for her inability to complete the planned delegation engagements honoring the servicemembers of WWII, Pelosi conveyed her gratitude to the veterans, the people of Luxembourg, and Bastogne for their contributions during the war and their role in establishing peace in Europe.
