Oklahoma Clerk Orchestrates Robbery to Leave Work Early

In a bizarre turn of events, an Oklahoma convenience store clerk, Isaias Jones, has been arrested for orchestrating a robbery of his own workplace. Jones allegedly devised the scheme so he could leave work early. Tulsa Police Department reported that Jones collaborated with two acquaintances, Alyia Locke and Steven Jones, to stage the robbery.

According to police reports, Steven Jones entered the store on June 5th and presented a note demanding money, under the threat of violence. Isaias Jones then handed over the store's cash. Steven Jones was apprehended on June 8th and confessed to his role in the fabricated robbery, revealing that he was hired by Alyia Locke at the behest of Isaias Jones. Locke was arrested on June 9th on an existing warrant and subsequently admitted to her involvement, confirming that Isaias Jones had compensated her after the staged incident. She even provided law enforcement with incriminating text messages from Jones.

Isaias Jones was apprehended on June 14th and faces charges of embezzlement and conspiracy to commit a felony. Steven Jones faces charges of conspiracy to commit embezzlement and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction. Locke may face additional charges related to the staged robbery. The Tulsa Police Department humorously noted on their Facebook page that this was not the recommended method for an early departure from work.
