Real Estate Tycoon Oren Alexander Misses Court Hearing in Sex Trafficking Case Due to Transportation Mix-Up

Wealthy real estate broker Oren Alexander, accused alongside his two brothers of drugging and sexually assaulting numerous women, missed a crucial court appearance due to an apparent logistical error. Alexander, 37, was mistakenly transported to New York City by the U.S. Marshals Service, despite his hearing being scheduled in Miami federal court.

He and his brothers, Tal, 38, and identical twin Alon, 37, face charges including conspiracy to commit sex trafficking and sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. They are accused of luring at least 40 victims with promises of a lavish lifestyle before allegedly drugging and assaulting them in various locations, including New York, Miami, and Tulum, Mexico.

The Miami Herald reported that the mix-up stemmed from a transportation order mistakenly issued by U.S. Marshals in New York. The judge in Miami acknowledged a "miscommunication of orders" and rescheduled Oren's bond hearing for the following day.

The indictment alleges the brothers' involvement in the sex trafficking scheme dates back to at least 2010, with prosecutors suggesting the pattern of abuse may extend over two decades. The brothers allegedly used a WhatsApp group chat titled "Lions in Tulum" to coordinate the transportation of women and the provision of drugs.
