Podcaster Joe Rogan recently asserted that a media "psy-op" has significantly skewed public perception of Donald Trump. Speaking on "The Joe Rogan Experience," Rogan, whose podcast boasts immense popularity and played a notable role in the 2024 election through his interview and late endorsement of Trump, suggested the media's portrayal of the former president as dangerous has damaged their credibility and alienated some voters, including himself.
During an episode featuring comedians Shane Gillis, Mark Normans, and Ari Shaffir, Rogan highlighted the contrast between past media appearances by Trump, such as a 2012 appearance on "The View" where he was met with applause, and the current critical narrative. Rogan pointed to this shift as evidence of a concerted effort to manipulate public opinion.

Rogan emphasized his belief that the media's portrayal of Trump is a calculated "psychological operation" designed to distort perceptions. He also cited examples of past statements by Hillary Clinton on immigration that echoed Trump's stance, further illustrating his point about media narratives.

Rogan attributed the changing media landscape to the rise of alternative platforms like podcasts, social media, and X (formerly Twitter), suggesting these platforms have allowed for a broader range of viewpoints and challenged the traditional media's control over information dissemination.
