The search for actor Julian Sands, who disappeared during a hike on Mt. Baldy in January, resumed on June 17th. The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department coordinated the effort, involving over 80 search and rescue volunteers. Despite their efforts, Sands remains missing. Difficult terrain and lingering winter conditions, including deep snow and treacherous ravines, continue to hamper the search. While some areas are inaccessible due to these conditions, the sheriff's department confirmed the search is still considered a rescue mission. They have conducted eight ground and air searches since January, accumulating over 500 volunteer hours.
