Following the recent election, discussions and disagreements have emerged regarding Vice President Kamala Harris' next political move. While some Democrats are still processing the election results, others are already contemplating Harris' future prospects, with some suggesting a potential gubernatorial run in California. DNC fundraiser Lindy Li has dismissed such speculation as wishful thinking, but the idea continues to circulate.
On "The Young Turks," co-host Cenk Uygur asserted that Harris would likely secure a governorship with ease, sparking a strong reaction from his co-host, Ana Kasparian. Kasparian vehemently opposed the idea, expressing her intention to relocate and resign from her job if Harris pursued such a path.
Uygur countered that he was merely presenting a likely scenario based on the tendency of California Democrats to follow party directives. He argued that many would support Harris regardless of her perceived suitability for the role.
Kasparian, however, expressed concerns about the state's capacity to withstand another perceived incompetent Democratic leader. She urged Harris to consider transitioning out of public service and exploring opportunities in the private sector, including lobbying, rather than pursuing the California governorship.
