Amidst growing concerns over unidentified flying objects in the night sky, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer is urging the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to implement advanced radar technology in the New York and New Jersey area. These systems, capable of 360-degree detection, are designed to provide definitive answers about the nature of these airborne craft.
Schumer emphasized the public's need for transparency, stating their desire for "real answers" rather than speculation. He highlighted the potential of systems like those developed by Robin Radar Systems, a Dutch company specializing in precise tracking and classification of aerial objects, including birds, bats, and drones.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul confirmed that federal partners are deploying a cutting-edge drone detection system to New York State, following her requests for increased resources. Both DHS and the offices of Schumer and Hochul have been contacted for further details.
DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas acknowledged that some of the reported sightings are indeed drones, while others are likely misidentified manned aircraft. He stated there is no indication of foreign involvement in the Northeast sightings. However, the ongoing occurrences continue to fuel speculation and concern.

President-elect Donald Trump also weighed in on the situation via Truth Social, questioning how such widespread sightings could occur without government awareness and demanding public disclosure or action.
