The film, slated for a theatrical and streaming release in the latter half of 2025, began filming in December 2024. Executive produced by Mrs. Trump herself and Fernando Sulichin of New Element Media, the project sees Brett Ratner of RatPac Entertainment in the director's chair. Amazon Prime Video plans to release further details as the project progresses.
An Amazon spokesperson expressed enthusiasm for sharing this unique narrative with their global audience. This announcement follows closely on the heels of Mrs. Trump's return to the White House as First Lady in January 2025, and the successful launch of her memoir, simply titled "Melania." The book, which offers a personal glimpse into Mrs. Trump's life through anecdotes and previously unreleased family photos, has enjoyed a prominent spot on the New York Times best-seller list.
In November, following President Trump's re-election, Mrs. Trump unveiled a digital photography series, "On the Move," documenting her experiences on the campaign trail and at home. In a past interview with Fox News Digital, Mrs. Trump indicated her continued commitment to children's well-being and development should she return to the role of First Lady, emphasizing the importance of providing necessary resources for children to flourish.
During the previous Trump administration, Mrs. Trump's "Be Best" initiative addressed issues within the child welfare system, including hosting virtual roundtables on foster care. Her efforts also extended to working with Congress on legislation to secure funding for educational grants for youth in foster care, a bill eventually signed into law by President Trump.
