Milwaukee Bucks coach Doc Rivers opened his Monday media address with heartfelt remarks about the tragic school shooting in Madison, Wisconsin. He expressed deep sadness, saying, "It's just a shame that this keeps happening. Kids can’t go to school safe, and it just seems like we don’t do anything about it."

Rivers, who has previously spoken out on societal issues, including gun violence, reiterated his concerns. Referencing a 2018 incident in California, he stated his belief that guns themselves are the terrorists and until that is recognized, these tragedies will continue. He emphasized the lasting impact on the victims, saying they "will be victims forever."

The Madison shooting at Abundant Life Christian School resulted in two fatalities – a teacher and a teenage student – and six injuries. Two students are in critical condition. Police Chief Shon Barners confirmed the shooter, identified as a juvenile, was found dead at the scene with a handgun. The shooter's family is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has also been a vocal advocate against gun violence.
