During a recent episode of her podcast, "Let's Be Honest," reality TV personality Kristin Cavallari shared a chilling story about a break-in during a family vacation in the Bahamas. At the time of the incident, which occurred in the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, Cavallari was still married to former NFL quarterback Jay Cutler. The family, including their three young children, was staying in a gated resort they considered secure.

After moving from a condo to a house within the resort, Cavallari stored her Uncommon James jewelry collection in a closet. On the day of the incident, workers were at the house repairing a broken HVAC unit. Later that night, while asleep with her eldest son, Camden, Cavallari awoke to a masked intruder crawling on her bedroom floor. She initially questioned the intruder, mistaking him for her husband in the darkness. The masked figure quickly fled.

Remaining calm in the presence of her son, Cavallari refrained from screaming. She described the experience as surreal, likening it to a scene from "Mission Impossible." After attempting to contact Cutler, who was asleep elsewhere in the house with their other two children, Cavallari cautiously searched the house. She later found Cutler and experienced a wave of fear and shaking once the immediate danger seemed to have passed.

Cavallari has shielded her children from the details of the incident to avoid frightening them. The intruder, later identified as the HVAC repairman, stole cash which was eventually recovered. Cavallari described the event as one of the most terrifying experiences of her life.

The family's spring break trip extended into a month-long stay due to quarantine restrictions. A month after returning home, Cavallari and Cutler announced their divorce. Fox News Digital reached out to Cavallari's representative for further comment but did not receive an immediate response.
