Entertainer Nick Cannon, a father of twelve children with six different women, recently shared his perspective on his sizable family, attributing it to divine guidance and a vision for a lasting lineage. In a podcast with Dr. Laura Berman, Cannon explained that he has experienced fragmented visions and messages from a higher power, suggesting he would father many children, echoing the biblical story of Abraham.
Cannon believes these visions are now coming into focus, interpreting them as a sign of his impactful lineage and the significant contributions his offspring will make. He expressed a desire for his name to be recognized like that of the Rockefeller family, not just for its size but also for its global influence. However, he emphasized that his personal legacy should be defined by his actions and contributions to the world, such as building hospitals and educational institutions, rather than simply the number of children he has.
While open to the possibility of more children, Cannon acknowledged that having eight children under the age of three wasn't part of a grand plan. He described the pregnancies as miracles, often occurring despite birth control measures. He recalled previous discussions where he stated that only God could determine when he was done having children, emphasizing that most of his children weren't planned. He expressed surprise at his current family size, reflecting on how different his life is now compared to a decade ago.
Cannon's youngest child, Halo Marie, was born in December to Alyssa Scott, with whom he also had a son, Zen, who passed away in 2021. He shares twins with Mariah Carey, three children with Brittany Bell, and three with Abby de la Rosa. Brie Tiesi and LaNisha Cole each have one child with him. Despite the logistical challenges of a large family, Cannon stated that his children are his priority and he strives to be present and effective in their lives.
