Transgender male boxer Patricio Manuel recently celebrated his third professional win, defeating Alex Gutierrez by unanimous decision in a four-round super featherweight bout. The 37-year-old made history in 2018 as the first transgender boxer to compete professionally, winning his debut against Hugo Aguilar.

Earlier this year, Manuel voiced his disappointment with the World Boxing Council's decision to establish a separate category for transgender boxers. He believes this move dehumanizes transgender individuals and contradicts the inclusive values the WBC claims to uphold.
