Former President Donald Trump recently unveiled several key nominations for positions within the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Department of Transportation (DOT). He shared these appointments on Truth Social.
Aaron Reitz, Senator Ted Cruz's Chief of Staff and former Deputy to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, has been nominated to lead the DOJ's Office of Legal Policy. Trump emphasized Reitz's role in spearheading successful legal challenges against the Biden administration and his commitment to advancing Trump's law and order agenda. Reitz will collaborate closely with Trump's attorney general nominee, Pam Bondi.

Trump also tapped Chad Mizelle for the role of DOJ Chief of Staff, working alongside Bondi. Mizelle previously served as General Counsel and Chief of Staff at the Department of Homeland Security during Trump's first term. The former president highlighted Mizelle's contributions to border security and efforts to combat illegal immigration.

For the Department of Transportation, Trump nominated David Fink, a seasoned railroad professional with over 45 years of experience, to head the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). Trump expressed confidence in Fink's ability to usher in an era of enhanced safety and technological advancement within the FRA.
In a subsequent announcement, Trump named Tilman J. Fertitta, owner of the Houston Rockets, as the nominee for U.S. Ambassador to Italy. Trump praised Fertitta's business acumen and philanthropic endeavors, particularly his support for children's charities, law enforcement, and the medical community.
