Three members of the Arkansas State Red Wolves men's basketball team were taken into custody Saturday evening on individual theft charges, each amounting to $1,000 or less. The players, Julian Lual, Dyondre Dominguez, and Terrance Ford, were booked at the Craighead County Sheriff’s Office in Arkansas but released a couple of hours later.

The Arkansas State Athletics Department acknowledged the incident, stating that Coach Bryan Hodgson and the department are actively investigating the situation and will handle the matter appropriately once all the facts are gathered. The statement was provided to ESPN.

Both Lual and Ford competed for the Red Wolves during the previous season. Ford, a 6-foot-1 guard from Chicago, averaged 10.8 points, 2.8 assists, and 1.3 steals in 32 games, starting in 15. He boasted a 43.3% field goal percentage. Lual, a 6-foot-6 forward hailing from Florida, averaged 4.9 points per game, starting 10 of his 32 appearances. He began his college career at McCook Community College in Nebraska before transferring to Arkansas State.

Dominguez, a forward from Providence, Rhode Island, joined the Red Wolves after three seasons with the UMass Minutemen. He averaged 8.7 points and 4.4 rebounds during his last season at UMass.
The Red Wolves concluded the previous season with a 13-20 overall record and a 4-14 conference record in the Sun Belt.
