A confirmed tornado touched down south of Keene, New Hampshire, on Thursday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). A trained weather spotter reported a rapidly rotating funnel cloud making contact with the ground near Keene State College and Dillant-Hopkins Airport shortly before 3 p.m.

Meteorologist Sarah Thunberg from the NWS confirmed the report. While there were no immediate reports of injuries, the NWS plans to conduct a damage survey in Keene and the surrounding area, including Dublin, on Friday morning due to multiple reports of damage. At the time of the tornado, much of New England was under severe thunderstorm watches and warnings, with potential flooding from heavy rainfall anticipated in parts of Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire.
