A devastating incident has shaken the NASCAR community as the in-laws and young nephew of driver Jimmie Johnson were found dead in an Oklahoma home on Monday night. Muskogee police are investigating the deaths as a potential murder-suicide.
Authorities received a 911 call around 9:05 p.m. reporting a disturbance and a person with a gun. Upon arrival, officers discovered a body in the hallway near the front door and heard gunshots coming from inside the residence.

The victims were identified as 69-year-old Jack Janway, his 68-year-old wife Terry Janway, and their 11-year-old grandson. News reports indicate the Janways are the parents of Johnson's wife, Chandra.

While investigations are ongoing, police are considering Terry Janway as a possible suspect in the double murder-suicide. In light of the tragedy, Jimmie Johnson's racing team, Legacy Motor Club, announced the withdrawal of his No. 84 Carvana Chevrolet from this Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series event in Chicago. The Johnson family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
