Football fans and movie buffs alike were treated to a holiday surprise with the release of the "Happy Gilmore 2" trailer, featuring a cameo by none other than Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce. Dressed as a golf club employee, Kelce greets Adam Sandler's iconic character, marking another step in the athlete's burgeoning acting career.

Sandler previously hinted at Kelce's involvement during an August appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon." The sequel, slated for exclusive release on Netflix in 2025, follows Kelce's debut in FX's "Grotesquerie" earlier this year.
This off-field venture coincides with another strong, albeit slightly less statistically dominant, season for Kelce. He has started every game for the 14-1 Chiefs, recording 89 receptions, 739 yards, and two touchdowns. While these numbers are down from his 2023 regular season performance (93 catches, 984 yards, and five touchdowns), his contribution remains vital to the team's success.

The Chiefs, along with the Pittsburgh Steelers, are part of the NFL's Christmas doubleheader, streaming on Netflix. A win against the Steelers would secure the Chiefs the coveted No. 1 seed in the AFC and a crucial bye week in the wild-card playoff round. The Texans and Ravens will face off in the second game of the doubleheader.

The Chiefs and Steelers kickoff at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the Texans and Ravens at 4:30 p.m. ET.
