A recent analysis reveals that White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre has provided minimal direct responses to inquiries concerning the controversies surrounding President Biden and his son, Hunter. The Media Research Center (MRC) examined Jean-Pierre's replies to questions posed during White House press briefings between January 1 and June 30, 2023, encompassing both the classified documents affair and the corruption accusations under investigation by Republican lawmakers.
The study discovered that out of 252 questions directed at Jean-Pierre regarding these matters, a mere six received clear-cut answers. Specifically, only five out of 217 questions about the classified documents (approximately 2%) were directly addressed. Furthermore, only one out of 35 questions concerning the corruption allegations against the Biden family received a substantial response.

In most instances related to the classified documents, Jean-Pierre deferred to the White House Counsel's Office. The few direct answers she did provide primarily concerned her personal awareness of the situation, rather than President Biden's involvement.
The single question Jean-Pierre answered regarding Hunter Biden and the corruption allegations, posed by Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, pertained to purported recordings of conversations between Hunter Biden, a foreign national, and potentially President Biden himself. Jean-Pierre's response simply quoted President Biden's previous dismissal of the allegations as "malarkey."

Following the House Ways and Means Committee's release of testimony from IRS whistleblowers alleging misconduct in the Hunter Biden tax probe, Jean-Pierre faced a barrage of questions. This testimony included an alleged WhatsApp message from Hunter Biden to a Chinese business associate referencing his father. The White House Counsel's Office reiterated its assertion that President Biden was not involved in his son's business dealings and that the Justice Department operates independently of the White House.

This lack of transparency seemingly contradicts President Biden's 2021 pledge to restore transparency and truth to government.
