Four Fatalities in Hampton, Georgia Mass Shooting: Suspect at Large

A devastating incident unfolded Saturday morning in Hampton, Georgia, a city south of Atlanta, claiming the lives of four individuals. The mass shooting occurred around 10:45 a.m. in the Dogwood Lakes neighborhood.

Law enforcement has identified 40-year-old Andre Longmore as the suspect. Police Chief James Turner, in a press conference held Saturday afternoon, stated that the victims, three men and one woman, will not be identified immediately to allow their families time to grieve privately. Chief Turner emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting, "We had at least four crime scenes that we were still actively investigating."

Longmore is believed to be driving a black 2017 GMC Acadia SUV and is considered armed and dangerous, carrying a black handgun. Authorities have issued four warrants for his arrest and the Henry County Sheriff's Office has announced a $10,000 reward for information leading to his apprehension. The public is urged to contact 911 immediately if they spot Longmore.

Expressing the community's shared sorrow, Chief Turner remarked, "This is a sad day in Hampton. It's just not normal for us. And as a community, we will grieve together… We will do everything in our power to ensure that the person is brought to justice."
