A 21-year-old man from Corinth, Mississippi, is facing a capital murder charge following the death of his infant daughter. Gabriel Girner was arrested on Monday in connection with the tragic incident. The child's mother, a 16-year-old girl, was also arrested and charged with condoning child abuse, with the possibility of further charges pending. Police responded to a call about an unresponsive infant on June 14th. The baby was transported to a Memphis hospital suffering from severe blunt force trauma to her neck, chest, and buttocks, but tragically, she could not be saved.
