A Russian hockey player competing in Poland's top league has been apprehended by authorities on allegations of espionage. Justice Minister and Chief Prosecutor Zbigniew Ziobro announced the arrest, declaring it another successful takedown of a Russian operative. This individual is reportedly the fourteenth member of a suspected spy ring to be detained in Poland.

The National Prosecutor’s Office stated that the hockey player, arrested on June 11th, is accused of involvement with an organized crime syndicate working against Poland's interests on behalf of foreign intelligence. If convicted, he could face a prison sentence of up to ten years. According to reports, this group was allegedly tasked by Russia with surveilling rail lines used to transport Western weaponry into Ukraine, leveraging Poland's role as a key logistics hub for military aid.
