In a press conference at training camp, Diggs emphasized his commitment to winning a Super Bowl and downplayed any lingering issues from the previous season.
Diggs, entering his ninth NFL season, acknowledged the disappointment of the Bills' divisional-round playoff exit but stressed that his sole focus is on pursuing a championship. He expressed confidence in the team's potential to achieve this goal, stating, "We've had legitimate chances at this thing."
The receiver's absence from voluntary spring practices and cryptic social media posts fueled rumors of discontent and a potential departure from Buffalo. McDermott's initial expression of concern regarding Diggs' absence from mandatory minicamp further complicated the situation, though he later clarified that Diggs had been excused. Diggs addressed these concerns directly, stating that any issues have been resolved internally. He characterized the situation as "family matters" that have been discussed and put to rest. Diggs affirmed his desire to remain in Buffalo, expressing his feeling of being "loved and appreciated" by the organization.
He explicitly dismissed speculation about wanting to play elsewhere, asserting his desire to retire as a Bill.
