The Critics Choice Awards, originally scheduled for January 15th at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, has been pushed back two weeks to January 26th. CEO Joey Berlin expressed concern for the community, stating that the tragedy has had a "profound impact." The rescheduled event will still take place at the Barker Hangar and will be broadcast live on E! and internationally, with next-day availability on Peacock.

Tapings of "The Price is Right," hosted by Drew Carey and filmed near the evacuation zones, have been suspended. Late-night shows like "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and "After Midnight" also canceled Wednesday's broadcasts due to safety concerns for their live audiences. Several premieres were also affected. Jennifer Lopez's "Unstoppable" and Blumhouse's "Wolf Man" premieres were canceled Tuesday night, with Universal citing "sensitivities around the worsening weather situation." Amazon Studios echoed these sentiments in canceling the "Unstoppable" premiere.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences delayed the Oscar nominations announcement by two days, from January 17th to January 19th. The Producers Guild Awards announcements were also postponed, moving from January 10th to January 12th. Paramount canceled the premiere of "Better Man" and the Max series "The Pitt" on Wednesday, expressing concern for those affected by the fires. Pamela Anderson's "The Last Showgirl" premiere, scheduled for Thursday, was also canceled. Universal Studios closed its theme park and lower lot on Wednesday, halting production on several shows, including "Hacks," "Happy's Place," "Loot," "Suits LA," and "Ted."




Thousands of residents, including numerous celebrities like Mark Hamill, have been evacuated from the Pacific Palisades area, with many, including Sandra Lee and Cameron Mathison, losing their homes. Actor Steve Guttenberg has been assisting first responders during the evacuations.
